These are perilous times and at Cornerstone we're we are committed to supporting the troops who serve our nation here at home and around the world. We have a prayer and support group that meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 7:00-9:00 pm in the Parlor. Come and join us! We especially encourage you to join us if you have a loved one serving overseas.
We also have Military prayer sheets that are included in the bulletin on the 3rd Sunday of each month and in the information racks the rest of the month.
From time to time, we have special events (such as phone card collections, greeting card mailings and holiday goodie box mailings) aimed at reminding the men and women in service that they're in our thoughts throughout the year.
This 2012 holiday season, 51 boxes were shipped to our military men and women thanks to all who contributed goodies! Thank you notes we receive will be posted on the military bulletin board in the Narthex. It was a success!!
