What a great time of year! Crisp mornings, good cool sleeping weather, flirtatious warm days, pumpkins, mums, cider & donuts!
It's also a great time for students to sharpen their pencils and their minds. And that means all of us who are Kingdom disciples (students, pupils) of our King Jesus. What are you doing to increase your knowledge of the Lord, His Word, His will and ways? Remember, it's not just about accumulating more knowledge for its own sake, but that we might love the Lord our God with all our heart and soul and mind and strength!
Here at Cornerstone, Community Bible Study is back in full swing on Thursdays, as is Women's Sorority on Wednesday nights. The Power & Light Company meets at The Brighton Chamber of Commerce building 7:30am Thursdays (designed with working women in mind). In addition, there are many women's small groups meeting in private homes both days and evenings pursuing greater intimacy with Christ and solid Christian friendships. If you're interested in finding a small group Bible fellowship, just call us at the Women in Ministry office and we'll be pleased to help you.
The splendor of autumn is rooted in change! We who believe in Jesus "are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord..." Let's cooperate with the Lord in this divine process and get serious about our Kingdom discipleship!

MOPS MINISTRY S.O.S.
Our wonderful MOPS ministry is an ongoing source of encouragement and instruction for our young moms balancing all the demands of marriage & family life with pre-school age children in tow.
They will kick off their new season this Tuesday, September 25th. But a GREAT NEED exists!! Beth Shipman, the faithful coordinator of care for the little children who come with their mommies has aging, ill parents she must go to Colorado to tend to them now and again. We need someone who can train with Beth and be ready to step in and fill her shoes on a "as-needed" basis. Is that you??
We're also looking for a few women who can act as hospitality workers each MOPS meeting for an hour (9-10am, twice monthly). These women will receive the brunch items from the moms as they drive up, and then arrange them on the buffet table along with the utensils and plates, readying it for serving.
