In the Bible, God refers to His people as "sheep." The more you know about sheep and their behaviors, the greater your insight into why they need to be shepherded. In order to care for His sheep, God sent Jesus as the Chief Shepherd. A good shepherd will lay down his life to keep his sheep from harm. That is what our Lord Jesus did when he gave his life on the Cross.
The local church is a kind of sheepfold, a place where the sheep Jesus died for can be cared for and watched over. God set in place "under-shepherds" -- pastors -- to be the guardians of His sheep. These under-shepherds have been called apart by God from ordinary vocational endeavors to do this important work. At Cornerstone, we are blessed to have a fine team of dedicated, caring pastors. Dr. Richard J. Alberta is our Senior Pastor. While his primary responsibilities include general leadership of the church, preaching, and teaching, Pastor Alberta also actively engages in pre-marital and pastoral counseling. Pastor Brian J. Tweedie is our Senior Associate Minister and Director of Congregational Care & Deacon Ministries. With twenty years of pastoral experience, Brian is an invaluable asset to Cornerstone. He also teaches regularly, and gives oversight to our Stephen Ministers. ~Email Pastor Brian~

Pastor Timothy Brown is our Associate Minister for Adult Discipleship and Congregational Care. With a passion for Biblical scholarship, Tim is an excellent teacher. Pastor Marv Valade is our Minister to Adult Seniors. He comes to us with more than 30 years in the ministry and a heart for senior saints! Marv provides support and pastoral care at hospitals, retirement centers, nursing homes and for the homebound, as well as taking part in Primetimers ABF. ~Email Pastor Marv~

Pastoral Associate Donna Rae Alberta is part of our Congregational Care team, although not an ordained minister. She has oversight of our Women's Ministries, and assists our pastors by meeting with women who need spiritual guidance, encouragement, and Biblical counsel. Donna is an experienced Bible teacher and speaker, and has served as a "listening ear" unofficially for years here at Cornerstone. ~Email Donna Rae~
