Christmas Eve Services

4:00, 6:00 & 8:00pm

Come celebrate the birth of Christ with us during our three identical Christmas Eve services. Our services will be filled with worshipful Christmas songs, a message from Pastor Chris Winans and a time to reflect on the true meaning of the Christmas season. Both services are open to the entire family.
For your convenience, kids programming will be provided for infants—3 year olds.
Services will be live streamed.

Christmas Concerts

December 14 & 15, 7:00pm

We invite you to join us for our annual Christmas concerts as we fill our Sanctuary with heartfelt music to remind us of the meaning of Christmas. Childcare provided for infant - 3 years.

Fill one of the free pre-printed boxes for a boy or a girl with school supplies, toys, toothbrushes, t-shirts, balls and a personal note. Samaritan’s Purse will deliver these boxes to children around the globe to share the love of Jesus with them. Your gift will be a precious treasure and can make an eternal difference in a child’s life. Brochures are located around the church with the specific instructions and appropriate labels. Include a check for $9 for each box you prepare to cover shipping expenses.

Provide Christmas gifts for children in need this year! Gift tags for Salvation Army and Military Avenue will be available in the Celebration Center. Salvation Army gifts are due back December 8 unwrapped. Military Avenue gifts are due back December 15 wrapped.

We are excited to partner with The Gideons International this Christmas to help share the story of Christ with others. It’s called Birthday for Jesus, an opportunity to celebrate Christ’s birth by donating Bibles to over 200 countries and territories in His honor. To participate in this opportunity, we have donation envelopes located at our Christmas Display in the Celebration Center or online. In each envelope you’ll find a decorative card that is yours to keep.

Adopt a Room
December 14, 15 & 24

Reaching out to the community to make Christ known by our Joy! Once again, Cornerstone will be hosting the "Warming Tent" in downtown Brighton at the Holiday Glow.  Plan now to be a part of the team as we hand out Free gloves and hot chocolate as well as assist children to make fleece scarfs and decorate Christmas cookies. Contact Sally Jo at to sign up for an hour and half shift!

The Military Ave Christmas will be held December 21. Join the "Turkey Brigade" or help with food boxes. Have some fun with the children; there will be games and crafts and then Christmas presents are passed out! Many hands are needed to make this event a sucess.

Fill a box with food to feed our neighbors in Detroit. The approximate cost to fill a box is $50. Boxes and a shopping list will be available beginning December 1.

Families and singles are encouraged to 'adopt-a-room' in the nursery for Christmas Eve and Christmas Concert services. Staffing nursery rooms on Christmas Eve is notoriously difficult for every church. This is a great opportunity for a family to adopt a room and serve young families, guests and celebrate Christmas with children in a meaningful way. There are 7 rooms available to adopt during the Christmas Eve services and 4 rooms available to adopt during the Christmas Concert. A background check will be required. Contact Vicky Sweet at for more information.

This Christmas we will be providing gift boxes, with an invitation tag to our Christmas services, for you to fill with sweet treats and give to someone in your life who needs Jesus this season. Because there are so many hurting people in our community, we want to extend the love of Christ by giving a kind gift and opening the door for people to accept the gift of Christ. Will you join us?

Boxes will be available for pick-up at the Christmas Display.

The Guatemala mission team is collecting jeans and black dress shoes for children and teens at Casa Bernabé children's home. Please place donations in Cornerstone collection bins by December 22.
