WHAT IS TEEN LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE?Teen Leadership Conference (TLC) is entering its 50th year at Clarks Summit University. The leadership conference was started with one purpose—equipping students to be leaders in their communities. Individuals who attend TLC receive biblically saturated teaching, interactive workshops and worship; along with activities and games. The programming of TLC has been designed to provide an outlet for students and their youth leaders to engage, edify, encourage and push one-another to become biblical leaders. TLC has existed because of God’s faithfulness. It’s never been about one person, it’s about the God-honoring program we provide.
WHY TLC?God desires us to be a generation of believers to stand up and step out in this dark world. Being a leader is difficult because you have to guide people, and that can be messy. God has called the church to be an influence, more importantly, He has called us to be people of change. How can you be a person of influence? What qualities does that call for? Do you want to be an influencer?
HOW DOES TLC COMPLETE ITS MISSION?TLC is moving forward to continue providing a program that is saturated in biblical teaching, interactive workshops and worship that challenges students to be biblical leaders. Our main sessions are intentional; speakers will provide biblical principles of leadership through scripture. The speaker’s main goal is to challenge your perspective of leadership by how God defines it. Worship is led by the CSU RiSE student team, a leadership program at Clarks Summit University. The interactive workshops are smaller, classroom-like settings designed for students, so that they can engage with each other and the speakers in a group discussion. Games and big-group activities are a continuation of the program, giving students and their leaders time together to put into practice what they are learning.
